Counselling is a safe and confidential space for you to explore your feelings, thoughts and emotions in the company of a qualified professional.

A counsellor is an individual who has undergone extensive training to be able to listen and support.

I work in a person-centred approach which means in the right environment, you will have the opportunity to be the expert on yourself and explore your self-awareness with the support of a trusted therapeutic relationship.

We meet regularly to ensure a therapeutic relationship is maintained and that you get the most out of your sessions. The regularity of sessions can be discussed, but most likely will be weekly, or fortnightly. The session itself is 50 minutes.

My private practice is currently operating in Lichfield. I also offer online and telephone sessions to make counselling more convenient for you.

Our conversations are strictly confidential and any written notes I may take are stored safely and securely in line with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

If you cannot make your appointment, please contact me via email with 24 hours’ notice. In the unusual event of me cancelling an appointment, I will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and aim to rearrange to a new appointment date and time. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee will be incurred. I will consider personal circumstances.

To have an effective counselling relationship, we must have boundaries, which means we will speak solely in the sessions unless you need to change your appointment.
